Red Beans and Rice Mix - 8oz

$3.50 ea.  or 3 for $10.00
Another true Louisiana dish. New Orleans style Red Beans and Rice is especially delicious. Introduced at the World Fair in New Orleans. It makes a big hit with people from all around the world. This dish is very much like a casserole as it can be a meal-in-one served with green salad or coleslaw. From scratch this dish can be time consuming. Beans must be cooked for 2-3 or more hours. A large amount of seasonings and veggies are needed to create the recipe. Mr. B's Red Beans and Rice is extremely quick and very tasty and delicious....and easy. We use pre-cooked dehydrated beans with special herbs, spices and seasonings. It takes only 30-40 minutes to complete.

Etouffee' Mix - 3oz

$3.50 ea.   or 3 for $10.00
Etouffee is another Cajun dish that demands nearly every Cajun to make and have for family and friends. To make this dish from scratch calls for a tremendous amount of chopped vegetables, seasonings, onions, garlic, chives, bell peppers, hot peppers, parsley etc. and it's very time consuming. With Mr. B's you can prepare it in a matter of minutes. Melt one stick of butter or margarine (I use the Parkay Spray butter so I don't add fat or cholesterol) and blend in Mr. B's Etouffee mix. Add water. Simmer for 10 minutes. It's full of flavor and it's delicious. Serve over white rice or pasta. Seafood makes the best Etouffee. I've also used the rotisserie baked hot chickens you can buy from stores that are already cooked. Just de bone, shred or cut up the chicken meat and use it in place of seafood. It's delicious!!! This one my husband came up with. This Etouffee is spicy but gooood. Once you get a bite of this Etouffee you want another and another until you done ate the whole thing.

Universal Dishes with Etouffee Mix:
(1) Shrimp or Crawfish, Fish, Cubed Chicken Breast, etc. As per the package directions and serve over white rice or pasta. (For pasta add cheese) Excellent!!!!!

(2) Seafood or Chicken Fettuccini....as per package directions add 2 to 4 slices of cheese approximately 5 minutes before removing from heat. Serve over angel hair or other pasta...Yummy!!!

(3) Dips for holidays and parties. Make as per package instructions adding chopped or diced shrimp, etc. Water may be added if mixture is too thick. Dip with chips or crackers. Very different and a big hit for
parties, etc.

(4) For delicious fried or baked fish, chicken or pork chops mix 1 pkg (3oz) Etouffee mix to (1) cup flour or fish fry and mix thoroughly. Dip fish or meat into mixture. Use as you would shake and bake. Fry or bake. Whenever baking meat or fish you may add a small amount of water after meat or fish is brown. Makes delicious gravy.

Add water, the mix and the browned meat and cook for 25 minutes total. Remove from heat, stir and serve. It's that simple. Rice dressing is an excellent side dish with BBQ or Baked Chicken. Gumbo Mix - 5oz

$3.50 ea.    or 3 for $10.00

This is another true Cajun dish. Probably the most used by Louisianans. Gumbo is a spicy or moderately seasoned dish and very easy to make. From scratch it takes a long time to prepare. Making a roux is a very tedious task. Along with chopping a multitude of seasonings, vegetables, onions, garlic, parsley, sweet and hot peppers. With Mr. B's Gumbo mix all this is eliminated. All you do is combine water and your favorite meats or seafood. Usually in less than an hour Gumbo is served over white rice and I've never known a person to try it and not like it. Gumbo is a staple in Cajun homes and should be one in yours.

Brown Gravy Mix - 1.5oz

$1.50 ea.   or 4 for $5.00

Contrary to most states and countries, Cajuns and Louisianans love brown gravies. Milk or White gravies are a NO-NO. The gravy mix is simple and easy to use. After baking or cooking roasts, chicken or turkey, simply remove the meat and add a small amount of water to the drippings and stir in one large tablespoon gravy mix in a cup of cold water. Pour slowly into mixture and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add more mix to thicken, or add water to thin gravy. Return meat to pan or serve gravy from a gravy bowl. Pour over white rice or potatoes. Delicious!!!!!
